GEICO Corporate Style Guide
Before the GEICO.com 2012 redesign, a corporate style guide was established for all of the company's web properties. The aim was to strengthen GEICO's branding for its websites, applications, and email.
Authored by myself and a small team of designers, the guide set the precedent for GEICO's consistent look and feel. The document proposed styling for high-level items such as colors, fonts, page layouts, and page elements. Snippets of markup and CSS were provided to accomodate various implementations.
After the document was published, all development teams within the company began following the standards established by the guide. Within a year, all of GEICO's existing properties had adopted the universal look and feel.
The style guide remains a living document that is continually updated to reflect GEICO's brand identity.
