GEICO.com 2014 Redesign - Homepage

Based off of GEICO's "3.0" mobile app refresh, the 2014 Redesign was a major overhaul derived from a corporate Design Kit created universally for all web properties.

The company's mobile app update sported a flatter look, expanded color palette, and card-styled content. This new design language was translated into a comprehensive Design Kit developed by an external agency with collaboration from internal development & design teams. Featuring a fully responsive layout, interactive navigation, and new library of vector icons, the kit aimed to continue refining the unified look of GEICO's web properties.

Similar to the responsive and 2012 redesigns of GEICO.com, this project was a large undertaking from a small team of developers and analysts. While many templates and pages were updated to include new markup, some were completely rewritten to conform to the structure dictated by the Design Kit. With the addition of several new libraries and assets, new strategies were also developed to optimize the site's load time and performance.
